Vivian L. Zacherl, age 93 of Lucinda, passed away Friday October 3, 2025 at the Clarion Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born November 1, 1931 in Oil City, she was the daughter of Samuel and Renee Dimilly Dunkle.
Vivian married Cyril Zacherl on July 28, 1949 and he preceded her in death February of 2006.
She was a homemaker; a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lucinda and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Vivian is survived by two daughters: Dorothy Smith of Kane and Judith (Clair “Butch”) Reitz of Lucinda; one son: James E. Zacherl of Clarion; six grandchildren: Jerry (Dawn) Bigley, Stephen (Sheila) Bigley, Linda (Jeff) Kinney, Cheryl (Roy) Tome, Rev. Matthew (Younga) Reitz, Benjamin (Tina) Zacherl, and Sean Contrael.
Also surviving are eight great grandchildren: Tim, Michelle, Jade, Jenna, Jeffrey, Sam, Amelia, Zoey and Harper; six great great grandchildren: Hayden, Ryley, Alaina, Adam, Ayda, and Theo; one brother, Raymond (Susan) Dunkle of Clintonville; one sister, Joanne Tudor of Titusville, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Heather Contrael, great grandson, Roy Tome Jr., five brothers: Harold, Albert, Ronnie, George, and Paul; one sister, Betty Wickman, and a son-in-law, Hursel Smith.
Per Vivian's request, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
She will be interred beside her husband in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Lucinda.
