Troy Alan Wolbert

     On July 7th, Troy Alan Wolbert, 62, of Lucinda passed away peacefully of natural causes in his favorite chair, in his favorite place, home, surrounded by all the things he loved including Beana and Trevy his feline friends.

     Born on March 14, 1964, Troy was the fourth child, and only son, of Margaret Ann Hargenrader and Roy N. Wolbert. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, and the American Riders Motorcycle Club of Huefner. He attended St. Joseph School in Lucinda and graduated from North Clarion High School in 1982. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he was a Staff Sargent. He was part of Operation Desert Storm, loading planes in Pittsburgh with equipment and other supplies for the troops.

     Though he had his own home, Troy recently resided with his mother. They were the best of friends, sharing meals, television programs, shopping excursions and road trips. The day before he passed, he and his mother spent the day in Erie, buying strawberries and cherries, driving out to the peninsula, chatting and revisiting memories and places they visited with his father, Roy Wolbert, who proceeded him in death in 2006. As with many days, they ended the day saying the nightly rosary in the living room. A perfect day.

     Troy enjoyed road trips. He was Owner-Operator of Wolbert Bus Company and Wolbert Transport until recently retiring. He spent many years driving the local roads safely delivering kids to school, taking them to sporting events, museums, and other fun activities.

     Recent road trips took him all over the Midwest as he searched for parts, pieces, and machines to recreate his father’s Silver Bullet snowmobile that he and his dad enjoyed when he was young. He met many interesting people and enjoyed those road trips immensely.

     Each year he looked forward to his annual road trip to visit his best friend, Paul Schmader. He and Paul’s friendship began in Lucinda as boys and continued to his last day.

     He was lucky. Boy, was he lucky. He was always surprising us with wins of raffles, 50/50’s, lottery scratchers, and even casino wins. A winner with a laugh and a smile.

     He is survived by his sisters, Anne (Marcus) Ochs, Mary Beth (Joseph) Niederriter, Amy (Douglas) Dolby, Paula (Vince) Scalise, Gina (Galan) Fernandes and his nieces and nephews, Kristie (Ted) Schmader, Jay (Jess) Ochs, Maggie Ochs (Josh Flockerzi), Dustin (Angie) Niederriter, Daniel Niederriter, Angela (Mario) Magagnotti, Adam Dolby, Jena (James) Seidle, Sara Scalise (Micheal Pesce) and Maria Scalise (Jonathan Rendon), as well as many great nieces and nephews.

    Though Troy had no biological brothers, he is survived by the members of the AMRC club whom he called his brothers. He spent many good times, joking, laughing, and hanging out with that crew at the club. He was the planner and prep guy for their get togethers and he loved doing that for his brothers.

     Visitation is private; however, the family invites friends and extended family to join them for the Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the St. Joseph Church, 112 Rectory Lane, Lucinda. Father Brandon Kleckner will serve as celebrant.

     The Clarion American Legion Post #066 will accord military honors in the St. Joseph Cemetery following the funeral mass.

     A funeral dinner will immediately follow at The Antler Club, 231 Sunset Drive, Lucinda.

     Arrangements are under the direction of the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fryburg.
