Thomas E. Stover, 59, of Fryburg, passed away November 1, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Born February 12, 1952 he was the son of the late Arthur and Pearl Norton Stover.
He was a graduate of West Forest High School.
Tom was married on May 22, 1976 to the former Rose Lauer who survives.
He was employed by Evenflo Crater, Astro Manufacturing and Clarion Board Inc. Outside of work Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Tom was a member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, and the Fryburg Sportsman's Club.
He is survived by his wife Rose, and sons Todd and his wife Dina, and Terry and granddaughter Addison Stover. Also surviving are brothers: Ron Stover and companion Barb of Warren, Clarence Stover of Pittsburgh; and sisters: Jane Swimm of Erie, Lola Busch and husband Vaughn of Seneca, Mary Vanderhoff and husband Wayne of Warren and Eleanor Mealy of Titusville. Surviving in-laws include brother-in-laws Tom Lauer and wife Candy of Venus, and Mike Lauer and wife Karen of Fryburg; Sister-in-laws surviving include Janet Smerkar and husband Dave of Shippenville, and Barb McGiffin and husband Vern of Knox. Tom has many nieces and nephews also surviving.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Arthur Jr., Jim, George, and Albert, and a sister Etta Berlin. He also had one niece and one nephew precede him in death.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc in Fryburg.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2011 Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Randy Evans Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
