Thomas B. “Herk” Clark, 78, of Marble passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family.
Born on January 31, 1936 in Oil City he was the son of Claude “Pat” and Hilda Hartle Clark Crusan who preceded him in death.
Thomas graduated in1954 from Shippenville High School.
On November 20, 1953 he was wed to the former Lenore Kepple who preceded him in death in 1991.
He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion.
Thomas worked as a project Foreman for Penn-Dot and he retired from there.
In his spare time Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and also collecting antiques and cut glass. In his younger days he was the lead singer in several popular local bands.
Thomas is survived by his children: Jill Over and husband Lawrence of Marble; Cyrus Clark and wife Brenda of Marble; Derita Carroll and husband Jim of Marble; and Rachel Clark of Cranberry Twp. Also surviving are brothers Greg and Mark Clark and sisters Joanne Switzer and Kathleen Thompson. Grandchildren surviving include: Kristen Henry and husband Luke of Erie; Amanda Clark of Hatteras NC; Brenton Clark and fiancee Brianna Musser of Shippensburg; Ian and Eva Carroll of Marble; Brianna and Cameron Regester of Cranberry Twp. A great-granddaughter Nora Henry and step-mother Phyllis Clark Traister also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lenore, an infant sister Carol, a brother Dave Clark, and an infant grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday, May 18, 2014 and 10am to 11am on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Jake Jacobson, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery following the service.
