Sylvia Marie (Combe) Hartsuyker

S. Marie Hartsuyker, 97, formerly of Fertigs passed away September 7, 2015 at Pennknoll Village in Everett, PA.

Born on March 12, 1918 in Bristol CT, she was the daughter of Louis J and Sylvia E. Bleau Combe.

Marie was a 1937 graduate of Leuzinger High School in Lawndale CA.

On December 18, 1937 in the Wedding Chapel in Santa Ana California, she was married to William Hartsuyker Sr. who preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.

In 1960 Marie and her husband moved to Florida and lived near Tampa, then in 1980 they moved to Fertigs.

She was a member of the Fertigs United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women Organization.

She enjoyed quilting.

Sylvia is survived by her children: Teresa Marie Puleo and her husband, Rev. Joseph Puleo of Shellsburg, Pa., William Hartsuyker Jr. and his wife Dianne of Oklahoma, Garrett Louis Hartsuyker of ElCajon CA, and Lloyd Everett Hartsuyker and his wife Lynne of Rouseville. Also surviving are sisters Rose Josephine Stengel, Amelia Agnes Eells. Many grandchildren , great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by a son Richard Henry Hartsuyker in 1952, brothers: Lawrence Combe, David E. Combe, and Anthony G. Combe and sisters: Anna Agnes Eggers, and Theresa Ida Combe

There will be no public visitation. Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg will be caring for the family.
