Robert Zacherl Obituary

Robert Edward Zacherl, age 81 of Marble, passed away following a period of declining health
January 6, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
        He was born in Shippenville on December 12, 1943 and was the son of Louis E. Zacherl and
Clara R. Lauer.
        Robert was married on September 23, 1967 to the former Catherine Anne Baumcratz who
survives.

         Robert was a retired glass worker at Owens-Illinois. He was a graduate of North Clarion High
School and was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg, the Building and Grounds
Committee, and the Knights of Columbus.

          Robert enjoyed restoring Allis-Chalmers Tractors in his free time, hunting and fishing,
woodworking, riding three wheelers, snowmobiles and his Harley Davidson trike.
          He is survived by his children; Christine M. (Corry) Bish of Corsica; Theresa A. (Paul) Edder of
Shippenville; Robert J. (Alicia) Zacherl of Lucinda; David M. (Erinn) Zacherl of Marble; Mark
E. Zacherl of Erie; Luke M. (Jessica) Zacherl of Ellwood City. Two Brothers; Louis (Mary)
Zacherl of Lucinda; Francis (Sharron) Zacherl of Venus; One sister; Carol Marshall of Leeper;
brother-in-law, Clarence Siegel and sister-in-law, Margaret Zacherl, both of Tionesta. 
          Also surviving are his four Grandchildren; Josh Dunlap, Kaitlin Kemmer, Kelsey Kemmer,
Andrew Zacherl.
           He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Ryan Dunlap, two brothers; Michael
and William Zacherl; one sister, Mary Ellen Siegel; and one brother-in-law Douglas Marshall.
          A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2025, at St.
Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg. Reverend Michael Polinek, parish priest, will serve
as celebrant.

     Interment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the St. Michael
Church building and grounds fund, P.O. Box 9 Lucinda, PA 16235.
