Ralph S. Cohlhepp, age 86 of Venus, passed away early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025 following a sudden illness.
Born August 7, 1938 in Shippenville, he was a son of the late Francis W. and Martha L. Beichner Cohlhepp.
He attended North Clarion High School and joined the United States Army, serving from November 1961 through November 1963.
Ralph married the former Shirley A. Schmader on February 19, 1966 and she survives.
He worked for Conair in Franklin, retiring in March of 1997 after 29 years of service, and was a member of the St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by four children: Kimberly (John) Brady of Venus; Gary (Chris) Cohlhepp of Shippenville; Michelle (Tom) Bush of Venus, and Kevin (Christina) Colhepp of Lake Lucy, and six grandchildren: Jeff (Crystal), Joe (Tricia), Kelly (Johnny), Maddie (Patrick), Andie, and Taylor (Anthony).
Ralph is also survived by five great granddaughters: Ariona, Alexa, Ella, Rosalie, and Kaysen (on the way); sister, Nancy Cohlhepp of Clarion and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen J. Cohlhepp; grandson, Jason Paul Brady; brother, Gerald Cohlhepp, and three sisters: Esther Beichner, Mary Ann Vogelbacher and Kathleen Niederriter.
Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at St. Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, in the church. Father Michael Polinek, Parish Priest, will serve as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery.
