Obituary

Mary Ann Vogelbacher, 79 of Fryburg passed away surrounded by her family on July 28, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

 

Born on May 23, 1944 in Venus she was the daughter of Dave and Martha Beichner Cohlhepp.

 

On May 2, 1964 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg she was married to Jerry Vogelbacher who survives. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage.

 

Mary Ann was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg

 

She retired as a secretary after having worked for Dr. Amadio, Dr. Whitling and Dr. Raucci.

 

Mary Ann loved working in their yard and tending to all her flowers. She also enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved hosting family gatherings with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids especially at all the holidays.

 

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Jerry and their children: Karen Knight and her husband Bill, of Seneca, Lisa Steiner and her husband, Glenn, of Shippenville, and Marci Cyphert and her husband, Brian, of Valencia. Grandchildren surviving include Ryan Knight and his wife Renee, Lindsey Koyack and her husband Michael, Ashley Steiner and Rob, Tanner Steiner and his wife Gabby, Colton Cyphert and Brynn and Colleen Cyphert. Great-grandchildren surviving are Barrett, Brantley, and Bristol Knight; and Will Koyack. Siblings surviving include Ralph Cohlhepp and wife Shirley and Nancy Cohlhepp.

 

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald Cohlhepp, and sisters Ester Beichner and Kathy Niederriter.


Mass of a Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 11 am with Rev. Micheal Polinek Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

 

Memorials in Mary Ann's honor may be made to Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurses Association.
