Mary F. Stover, 86, of Sawtown Rd. passed peacefully in her home into the Glory of The Lord on January 25, 2015.
Born on May 7, 1928 in Oil City, PA and she was the daughter of Henry Eugene and Ella Kinch Fischer.
Mary was a 1945 graduate of Cranberry Area High School.
On January 22, 1949 Mary was married to Robert L. Stover who preceded her in death on January 18, 2009
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Seneca PA
For fourty-two years Mary served as office manager and secretary for Dr. John T. Rightor. She also was the Pine Grove Township Secretary and Auditor for many years.
In her spare time she enjoyed cross word puzzles and crypt o quotes, she loved to entertain and cooking for anyone that she had over, and she was also had political involvement with various elections.
Mary was a member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club, the Belle Lettres Club, the Republicans Woman's Club, the Organ Club, and she was also very involved in all ministries within the Grace Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her daughter Brenda Stover Lipko of Oil City and a granddaughter Dyan Diven of Oil City. Sister Margaret Fischer Owens of Grove City, sister-in-law Elizabeth Arras Fischer of Venus, 8 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, 11 great-great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother-in-law Dorothy Stover Ehrhart and siblings: Charles Kinch Fischer, Jean Lois Fischer, Floyd Joseph Fischer, Virginia Fischer Murdoch. A brother-in-law Donald Charles Owens and a brother-in-law Jack Owen Murdoch also preceded her in death.
There will be no calling hours for Mrs. Stover however friends are invited to attend a memorial and committal service to be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church in Seneca or Bible Baptist Church, 32 Adak Ave., Fairbanks, Alaska 99701 for the ministry of Clayton McCurdy in Moldova
