Mary M. (Beichner) Baughman

Mary M. Baughman, 73, of Shippenville passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Golden Living Clarion after a period of declining health.

Born on July 20, 1943 in Shippenville she was the daughter of Martin and Rachel Zagst Beichner.

She attended Pine City School, the Shippenville School and Keystone High School.  

On November 28, 1959 she was married to Francis E. Baughman who survives.

Mary was a member of St. Michael Church and the Rosary Society in Fryburg.

She worked part-time at Keystone School District for a number of years, she was also a American General Life Insurance agent, an Avon Representative, and a Derrick and Clarion Newspaper carrier.  

Mary enjoyed reading, gardening and planting flowers, spending time with her family and getting together with her sisters and brothers. 

Mary is survived by her husband Francis and their children: Theresa Seitz and husband Jerry of Marble; Francis Baughman Jr. and companion Christine Daum of Shippenville; Darlene Mary Cope and husband Ken of Venus; Bill Baughman and wife Pam of Cranberry; Gerald Baughman of Shippenville; Joseph Baughman and wife Cindy of Marble; and Rich Baughman and companion Tricia Austin of Lickingville.  Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  Siblings surviving include Rose Slaughenhaupt of Clarion, Pete Beichner of Titusville, Cicelia Dougherty of Baxter, Therese Galbraith of Brookville, Betty Slike of Shippenville, Dorothy McGiffen of Knox, Barbara Baughman of Shippenville, and Dennis Beichner of NC.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Bernard, Edward, Agnes, Adeline, Martin Jr., Stephen, Gerald, and Philip, a granddaughter Geraldine Seitz and a grandson Gerald Baughman Jr.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 7-9pm and on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  A parish vigil service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the funeral home at 1:45pm.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. D.G. Davis III, Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
