Marie Katherine Fletcher

Marie K. Fletcher, 86, of Fryburg, passed away September 9, 2010 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, PA after a brief illness..

She was born October 29, 1923 and she was the daughter of the late Clara Guth Fletcher and F.W. Mike Fletcher.

She  graduated from Shippenville High School in 1942.  Marie was married Dec. 27, 1949 to Wayne Snyder who preceded her in death.

Marie worked for Worthington Corporation in Oil City and Hammermill and General Electric both of Erie.  Marie  was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg where she served as organist for many years.  She enjoyed sewing, genealogy, photography, and Music

She is survived by a  sister-in-law Eileen Fletcher of Fryburg as well as eight nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death  by brothers Francis J. and Paul J. Fletcher.

There will be no public visitation.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, September 13, 2010 in St. Michael Church with Rev. David Poulson, pastor as the celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

The family suggests memorial may be made to St. Michael Church Organ Fund in memory of Marie.
