Madeline C (Beary) Ditz

Madeline C. Beary Ditz, 84,of Fryburg passed away September 24, 2017 at the Clarion Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on February 11, 1933 in Shippenville, she was the daughter of Fredrick and Helen Hartle Beary.

She was a graduate of Shippenville High School.

She was married at St. Michael Church on May 9, 1953 to Bernie A Ditz who preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.

Madeline was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and especially spending time with her family.

Madeline is survived by three daughters: Dian Beary and her husband Dave of Venus, Becky Hoffman and companion Lee Beightol of Venus, and Cathy Strotman and husband Mike of Lake Lucy. Three sons also survive: Ben Ditz of Fryburg, Malcolm Ditz and wife Lori of Lake Lucy, and Fred Ditz and fiancée Deana Schmader of Clarion. A daughter-in-law Barbara Ditz of Lake Lucy, Eleven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. A sister Helen Walter and husband Roger, brother Robert Beary, sister Lucile Shirey, three sister-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and a very good friend Jim Karg, also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death an infant daughter Joyce and a son Valentine. Also preceding her in death were brothers Leonard Beary and Fredrick Lynam and numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the mass.

Memorials in Madeline's honor may be made to St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
