Lois L (Amsler) Seigworth

Lois L. Seigworth, 98, of Grandview Road, Oil City passed away October 13, 2010 at her home following a short illness.

Born January 2, 1912 in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the daughter of James and Pearl Renrick Amsler.

On July 8, 1931, she married Victor C. Seigworth who preceded her in death on May 27, 1985.

Mrs. Seigworth resided most of her life in Venus with her husband who was co-owner of Venus Motor Co. and Oil City Motor Co.

She enjoyed spending time with her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was fond of her dog Rosie.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Venus.

She is survived by two daughters: Maxine Wagner and her husband Wade of Oil City, and Betty Eisenman and her husband Leon of President.  Three Grandchildren: Victoria Sykes and her husband Peter of Boston, Brenda Agnello and her husband Jason of Oil City and Jeffrey Eisenman and his wife Alicia of President all survive. Six great-grandchildren also survive. A half sister Lucille Stauffer also survives.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her parent and her husand. She was also preceded in death by brothers Milton and William, and sisters Mildred, Fay, and Levina. A half sister Yvonne also preceded her in death.

There will be no public viewing.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 11 am in the Faith Lutheran Church, Venus, with Rev. John Wood, Pastor officiating.  Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery following the service.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1759 County Line Rd., Venus, Pa 16364.
