Leonard G. “Mike” Siegel, age 84 of Marble, passed away on June 11, 2025 at his home following a period of declining health.
He was born in Strobleton on April 25, 1941, he was the son of James Siegel Sr. and Mary Steiner Siegel.
Mike married the former Margaret “Peg” Fesenmyer, on June 13, 1964 and she survives.
He was employed by Motter and Guth Trucking of Marble, and then became an owner/operator. He was a member of the St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Mike enjoyed playing cards, gardening, working in his garage, and square dancing.
Survivors include his wife “Peg”; six children: Diane (Rob) Bauer of Lucinda, Kevin (Lisa) Siegel of Marble, Amy (Mark) Kriebel of Lucinda, Christine (Steve) Banister of Cumming GA, Jason (Tristin) Siegel of Shippenville, and Brian (Stacy) Siegel of Venus; 19 grandchildren: Kaitlin (Travis) Steele, Nathan (Lakyn) Bauer, Kyle (Rachel) Bauer, Evan (Tabby Fox) Bauer, Trey (Kristal) Siegel, Erin (Nick) Moore, Jess (Katie Jones) Siegel, Keane (Jozie Fallabel) Kriebel, Cassie and Claire Kriebel, Craig (Kelly) Banister, Tyler ( Kaitlyn Ayers and her daughter, Mackinsley) Banister, Gwen, Brynn, Rowan and Elin Siegel, and Aniston, Ethan and Avarie Siegel, and 11 great grandchildren with two on the way.
Mike is also survived by his brother, Marcus Siegel of Shermans Dale; sisters: JoAnne Schmude of Erie and Bonnie Kaye of Lucinda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and in-laws: Ed and Kathy Fesenmyer of IN, Tom and Elaine Fesenmyer of Marble, Dennis and Margaret Fesenmyer of AZ, Gene and Janet Fesenmyer of Marble, Mary and Roger Steiner of Leeper, Germaine and Marv Pederson of MO and Helen and Chuck Griebel of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Edward Eck; brother-in-law, Robert Schmude; sister-in-law, Delene Fesenmyer Ochs and her husband, Carl, and sister-in-law, Dodie Fesenmyer.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 19200 Route 208, Fryburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg. Father Cory Pius, Parochial Vicar, will serve as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery.
