Leon Andrew "Chappy" Eisenman formerly of President Village passed away March 23, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born in Marble on the Eisenman homestead to Edna and Henry "Heinie" Eisenman on December 16, 1932. He was married to the former Betty Seigworth Eisenman who preceded him in death on January 3, 2025.
Leon was educated at St. Michael School, graduated from Shippenville High School and served our country during the Korean conflict. While growing up, he worked on his grandmother's farm helping to care for chickens, cows, and pigs. He cut and stored hay using a team of horses. He loved playing baseball for the Venus Baseball Team and was a member of the championship Hayrake League Team. After returning from his military service he worked in the Venus Store and Post Office which was owned and operated by his parents. He enjoyed golfing with his friends at Hi Level Golf Course and Wanango Country Club. Chappy loved local history and sharing stories. Over the years Leon and Betty enjoyed traveling, western square dancing and winters in Florida.
Leon was a local business owner who was instrumental in developing and promoting the manufactured home industry in Clarion County. He co-founded and owned Tri County Homes and Pine Terrace Estates both in the Shippenville Area. He was a founding partner of Clarion Bathware. He was a long-time director of First United National Bank and he would often be seen on the bank's float in the Fryburg Mayfest Parade. In 2020/2021 Chappy was honored as the Grand Marshal of the Parade which marked the Fryburg Bicentennial.
He is survived by his children Brenda (Jason) Agnello and Jeffrey (Alicia) Eisenman as well as his grandchildren Jamie Agnello and her husband Patrick Briener, Lindsay Krisher and her husband Zachary, Jeremy Agnello, Emily Eisenman, Evan Eisenman and Elliott Eisenman. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Bailey, Lacie, Jonah and Atlas Krisher and his brother John Eisenman along with his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Chappy was preceded in death by his wife and sisters Helen (Phil) Kiser and Anna Marie (Francis) O'Donnell.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 19200 Route 208, Fryburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg. Father Michael Polinek, parish priest, will serve as celebrant.
Military honors will be accorded by the Franklin Honor Guard at the graveside in St. Michael Cemetery following the funeral mass.
The late Monsignor Francis Theobald, longtime priest at St. Michael Church in Fryburg was an important influence on his life. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael Building and Grounds Fund, P.O. Box 9 Lucinda, PA 16235.
