Lela M. (Downing) Beary

Lela M. Downing Beary, 70, of Shippenville passed away December 28, 2014 at Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Meadville, after a lengthy illness.

Born on April 14, 1944 in Rimersburg she was the daughter of Robert and Juanita Downing.

She was a Butler High School graduate.

On February, 18 1961 Lela was married to Willard Beary Sr. who survives.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

Lela worked at Clarion Head Start, Sears, and Clarion University Food Services. She enjoyed planting flowers, crocheting, making wooden lawn ornaments with her son, reading, and camping.

Lela is survived by her husband Willard, her mother Juanita, a son Willard E. Beary Jr. of Shippenville, a son Jody E. Beary of Oil City, a daughter Wanda Matthews of Oil City, a daughter Karen McNatt and husband Kenneth of Oil City, a daughter Jennifer Krieble and husband James of New Castle and a daughter Theresa Crawford and husband Alastair of Oil City. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a brother Paul Downing and wife Patricia of Prospect.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert, a son Donald P. Beary, and a sister Betty Jane Downing Foringer.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the service.
