Kevin Camp Obituary

Kevin Michael Camp, 62, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, after a brief illness.

Born November 14, 1952, in Oil City, Kevin was the son of the late William R. and Marian B. (Mame) Camp.

He graduated from Oil City Senior High School in 1970. After graduation, he worked as a flooring installer, then at Oilwell Supply Company. In 1983, he moved to Phoenix, where he was a professional painting contractor for more than three decades.

Kevin will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit and ability to see the humor in any situation. During his brief illness, the far-flung family found comfort in sharing many "Kevin stories" via group text.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison, of Glendale, AZ, as well as her husband Benny and three grandchildren, Samantha, Benny and Savannah.

Also surviving are nine siblings and their spouses: Jim and Kathy Camp of Erie, PA; Marcia Camp of Oil City; Greg and Sharon Camp of Naples, FL; Karen and Ted Niederriter of Ft. Myers, FL; Peggy and Rob Winger of Lewisville, TX; Roberta and Greg Faller of Fryburg, PA; Bob Camp of Oil City; Mary and John Brown of Naples, FL; and Martha Camp of Naples, FL. He was a proud uncle to 16 nieces and nephews and great-uncle to 19. He is also survived by an aunt, Mary Mar Camp of North Tonawanda, N.Y., numerous cousins and many friends.

While he lived in the southwest for more than 30 years, Kevin still considered Oil City his home. In accordance with his wishes, Kevin's ashes will be returned to the Oil City area and the family will hold a celebration of his life next summer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85014.
