Karen Marie Beaver, 67 of 5691 Route 322 Shippenville, went to be with her lord and savior Thursday, September 13, 2012 while she was surrounded be her loving family.
Born on August 21, 1945 in Marble she was the daughter of William and Lucille Bauer Guth.
Karen graduated from Keystone High School in 1964. After working at several places, including 7 year at Knox Glass, she became a full time homemaker raising her three sons. she was a fantastic baker and cake decorator. She also loved making candy. Karen was an extremely talented quilter, afghan maker and with needle point. She helped build the home that she lived in. She enjoyed decorating her home and surrounding property with the flowers and plants that she loved. Karen had a definite green thumb. She enjoyed farming her flock of chickens and watching them follow her around was a real treat. Karen enjoyed vacationing particularly in the Southwest where she was intrigued by the ancient Indians of Mesa Verde and Hoven Weep.
Karen was a life long member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Karen was a warm, loving, kind and generous lady. She was a wonderful friend and devoted mother. She is survived by her husband of 32 years James Beaver and three sons Robert Allmendinger and wife Leslie of Columbus Ohio; David Allmendinger and fiancé Betsy of Knox; and Randy Allmendinger and wife Kelli of Indiana, PA. She had two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Carl Allmendinger and four brothers Thomas, Roy, Eugene, and Michael Guth. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrate on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10am in the St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. D.G. Davis III, pastor as the celebrant.
Interment in the St. Michael Cemetery will follow the mass.
