June Yvonne (Ladebue) Asche

June Yvonne Ladebue Asche, 80, of Fertigs passed away June 13, 2016 at her home after a extended illness.

Born on June 13, 1936 in Pittsburgh she was the daughter of William H. and Edith M. Brown Ladebue.

She graduated from Allegheny High School in 1955.

On June 29, 1956 in Cumberland Maryland she was married to George F. Asche Jr.

She attended Fertigs United Methodist Church.

Early on she worked as a lab tech in Pittsburgh, served as a playground aid at Evergreen Elementary, and also a life guard for Pittsburgh Public Pools. After she was married she was a stay at home mother.

June enjoyed bowling, swimming, and playing numerous musical instruments while her husband listened. She was a vintage car enthusiast, a NASCAR fan and attended NASCAR events in Michigan, Charlotte and Daytona. Traveling was also an interest of hers and she enjoyed taking trips to the beach. She also enjoyed watching golf and tennis on television, and she was also an animal lover. She had a great sense of humor and always said “If I go first, your dad will live forever”

She was a member of Rev. Billy Graham's Choir, secretary for Fertigs Cemetery and Fertigs Community Center. She was also a member of the Aches and Pains Bowling League and sang and played guitar with various local country and Bluegrass Bands.

She is survived by her husband George and their children: June Y. Reisinger of Seneca, April O'Neil and husband Rick of Rockland, George F. Asche III and wife Karen Seneca, Robert Asche and wife Missy of Fertigs. Grandchildren surviving include: Tonya Sterner, Elisha Peterson, Amanda Daugherty, Maggie O'Neil, Sadie O'Neil, and John, Aaron, Sejona, Anjali, Maya, Eric and Evan Asche. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Ladebue and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Duane Reisinger , and three siblings Olive Ladebue, Joan Munson, and William Ladebue.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 7-9pm.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday June 16, 2016 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc in Fryburg, with Pastor Randy Evans Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain.  Interment will be in the Fertigs Cemetery following the service.

Memorials in June's honor may be made to Humane Society.
