John E. Brady Sr.

John E. Brady Sr., 82, of Golden Living in Shippenville formerly of Venus passed away on December 19, 2011.

          

Born April 12, 1929 in Washington PA, he was the son of the late Sherman and Retha  Ware Brady.

 

John was first married to Bettie L. Rogers Brady and they had two children; Letha (Sue) Russell and John Brady Jr.  Later John was remarried to Bessie L. Brady who preceded him in death in 2000.

 

He was a Veteran of the Korean War.

 

John worked for 35 years for Ford Motor Company in their Lorain Ohio Manufacturing Facility.  Upon retiring from Ford he and Bessie moved to Tennessee.  

 

John enjoyed flying airplanes and was an avid animal lover.

 

He is survived two children: Sue Russell of Strattanville, PA and John Brady Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Venus.  John is also survived by a granddaughter Heather Russell of Strattanville and grandsons: Jeffery Brady and his wife Crystal of Venus; Joseph Brady of Venus; and Jack Russell of West Virginia.  Survivors also include two great-granddaughters; sisters: Wilma Waybright of West Virginia, Sylvia Woods of Oklahoma, Jean White and her husband Larry of Tennessee, Goldie Hartle and her husband Ron of Tennessee; and sister-in-law Louise Smith of Pennsylvania.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

 

John is preceded in death by his parents and wife Bessie, a brother Harold Brady, a siser Anne Aldrich, a nephew Karl Sartin and a grandson Jason Brady.

 

Friends will be received from 6 to 8pm  Wednesday, December 21, 2011at Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg. 

 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg, with Rev. Richard Kightlinger officiating.

 

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the service.
