Joanne M. (Groner) Beary

 

Born July 27, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion Groner.

 

She was a graduate of Shippenville High School.

 

Joanne was married on June 12, 1954 to Ora G. Beary who preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.

 

Joanne was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Venus.

 

She had worked for Bell Telephone, ASR, and  was retired from First United National Bank in Fryburg.

 

Joanne & Ora were avid collectors of Purinton Pottery and glass insulators and made many cherished friends in their pursuits.  In her retirement Joanne enjoyed volunteering at the Clarion Hospital and especially enjoyed  working with Todd Beichner Auctioneer.  She looked forward to  spending the winter with Sug in Naples, FL.

 

Joann is survived by a son David Beary and his wife Dian of Venus and three daughters,Deborah Snyder and husband Greg of Venus, Diane Kapp and husband Brady of Venus, and Darlene Schettler and husband Jim of Fryburg.  Seven grandchildren Amy Anderson and husband Shane of Venus; Adam Schettler and wife Michelle of Raeford, NC; Brady Kapp, Jr. and wife Bethany of Tionesta; Christine Snyder of Venus; Julie Jones and her husband Jacob of Sneads Ferry, NC; Dustin Kapp of Columbus, IN; and Robert Snyder of Venus; and one great grandson Cole Anderson of Venus also survive. 

 

A brother Albert Groner and his wife Gloria of New Middletown, OH; brother-in-law LeRoy Beary and wife Janice of Marble; and three sister-in-laws Velma Zock and husband Jim of Warren; Yvonne (Sug) Klapec of Oil City; Bonnie Strandburg and husband Chuck of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

 

Friends will be received  from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and  6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg. 

 

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, November 25, 2011 in Faith Lutheran Church in Venus with Rev. John A. Wood, Pastor as the Celebrant.
