James R. Crum, 70, of Lucinda passed away October 24, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Born January 18, 1941 he was the son of the late George and Mildred Burgess Crum.
On October 16, 1976 James was married to Virginia M. Snyder who preceded him in death on October 23, 2009.
He was a graduate of Bradford High School and also served in the US Air Force for 8 years and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.
James was employed at Marienville Glass for 12 years and then at Astro Manufacturing in Shippenville for over 20 years.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman's Club where he enjoyed playing euchre.
James is survived by his son Michael Crum, a step-daughter Deb Coza, a brother Jack Crum, a sister Sally Weaver, and a brother-in-law James Snyder. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Mark, Tim, Becky, and many more.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brothers and sisters: William, Donald, Richard, Betty, JoAnn, and Margie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9 pm at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
Inurnment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Lucinda.
The family suggests that memorials be made to American Cancer Society.
