Irene C. (Roux) Remillard

Irene C. Remillard (Roux), 79, of Fryburg, PA formerly of Manchester, NH, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 after a lengthy illness.

Born April 28, 1931 she was the daughter of Antonio and Eva Lagace Roux who both Preceded her in death.

Irene was married to Emile Remillard who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

Irene owned and operated the Yarn Barn in Manchester NH for seven years. She also worked for C.B. Sullivan Corp. for 15 years in customer relations and sales.

Irene was active in St. Maries Church in Manchester NH. In the church she was a eucheristic minister, also volunteered in the rectory, and belonged to the Ladies of Saint Ann. She was a member of the American Legion Post #79. She enjoyed many crafts.

Irene is survived by a daughter Denise Blanchette of Fryburg, PA; and a daughter Diane Drown of Vermont. Grandchildren surviving are Melissa Blanchette of Marienville, PA; Jason Remillard of Allenstown, NH; Jennifer Daigle of Franklin, NH; Felicia Young of Vermont. A brother Marcel Roux of Florida and 6 great-grandchildren also survive.

Irene was preceded in death parents, her husband, and 3 sons Daniel, Donald, and Ronald Remillard. A son-in-law David Blanchette also preceded her in death.

The will be no public visitation and as per the wishes of Irene she will be cremated. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg with Rev. David Poulson, pastor, presiding. Inurnment will be in New Hampshire at a later date.

Memorial may be made in her honor to Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice Program of Knox.
