Henry (Jake) McCauley Jr.

Henry James (Jake) McCauley Jr., 66, formerly of Venus and Shippenville, passed away November 15, 2013 at Golden Living in Clarion following an extended illness.

Born on October 2, 1947 in Oil City he was the son of Velma M. Kline McCauley and the late Henry J. McCauley Sr..

He attended Cranberry High School.

On May 26, 1972 he was married to the former Margaret (Peggy) Kennane McCauley who survives, and they were married for 41 years.

He was of the Protestant faith and before his illness he attended the United Evangelical Church and Pilgrim Holiness Church both in Venus.

He loved hunting and spending time in the outdoors, watching the Steelers and the Pirates in the 70's.

He served in the US Army in the late 60's and received an honorable discharge.

Jake is survived by his wife Peggy, his mother Velma, a brother Charles H. McCauley and his fiance Fran Bidish of Oil City, and a sister Linda Eisenman of Venus. Also surviving is half brother Dennis McCauley and a half sister Galla Vogan. Jake is also survived by four nephews Chuck W. McCauley, Mike Eisenman, James McCauley and Robert McCauley. He also leaves behind many aunts, cousins, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Henry Sr., a brother-in-law Allen Eisenman, a sister Bonnie Jean McCauley and a half brother Tom B. McCauley.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at 6:00pm at the Caring Place in Franklin.
