Helen Seigworth Obituary

Helen Mary Zuck Seigworth, age 97, of Water Run, Clarion, formerly of Lickingville, passed away o February 27, 2018, at Hamot Hospital in Erie, after a brief illness.

She was born on August 14, 1920 to Floyd R. and Elizabeth Daum Zuck in Strobleton. She was a 1938 graduate of Farmington High School.

On May 8, 1940, Helen was married to Norman (Pat) Seigworth in a double wedding with Lee Daum and Betty Sandrock Daum by Rev. Rueckwald, Pastor of Venus Lutheran Church. They celebrated 72 years of marriage together until Pat's death on February 13, 2013.

Helen and Pat operated Seigworth's General Store in Lickingville until their retirement in 1977. After their retirement the spent their winters at Canoe Creek Campground in St. Cloud, Florida.

She was a memeber of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she served as organist, choir director and Sunday School teacher for many years.

Helen is survived by a granddaughter, Tracy Seigworth Fedak and her husband, Matt, of Erie, and by a great grandson, Dylan Fedak of Erie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Seigworth, who died at birth, a son Terry Seigworth, her twin sister, Evelyn Zuck Seigworth Hayes, and her brother, Gerald Zuck.

Family and friends will be received at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Tionesta on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12 pm to 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at the Church at 2 pm with Pastor Dr. Jonathan Bell of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Venus Cemetery.
