Grace Ann (Dehner) Strickenberger

Grace Ann Dehner Strickenberger 75, of Fryburg passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Clarion Hospital following complications from viral pneumonia.

Born on July 19, 1940 in Lickingville, PA she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Ethel Anderson Dehner. Grace attended North Clarion Schools and was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

On August 22, 1965 Grace was married to Joseph Strickenberger who survives and they were married for over 50 years.  She was a home maker and mother to her children who were her pride and joy.

In her earlier years she was employed at the Laurel Boat Factory in Shippenville and later in life by Cooks Riverside Cabins in Cook Forest.  Grace enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her husband Joseph and their two children: Alfred L. Strickenberger of Fryburg and Janet Marie Shreckengost and her husband Bryan of Frogtown.  Also surviving are two grandchildren Nicole Galbraith and her husband Andrew of Frogtown and Levi Shrechengost of Frogtown; a great-granddaughter Zoey Galbraith and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Her siblings surviving include a brother Benjamin Dehner and companion Nancy Schneider of Lucinda, a sister Shirley Weiser of Lickingville, a sister-in-law Norma Dehner of Clarion, a brother-in-law Bill Strickenberger, a sister-in-law Marion Lutz, and a sister-in-law Rita Humphrey. Also surviving is a special friend Helen Smrekar of Fryburg.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kenneth Dehner.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in St. Michael Church in Fryburg with Rev. D.G. Davis III Pastor of St. Michael Church presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

Memorials in Grace's honor may be made to St. Michael Church Organ Fund.
