Grace V. Kapp, 88, of Golden Living in Oil City, formerly of Venus, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday June 15, 2014 at Hamot Medical Center.
Born Dec. 1, 1925 in Venus, she was the daughter of Walter B. and Stella M. Korb Kapp.
Grace was born on the family farm in the house that she lived in most of her life. She attended Pinegrove School. She worked at home caring for her mother and helping to operate the family farm.
Grace enjoyed completing word search puzzles and looked forward to bingo with her friends.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Venus.
She is survived by a sister Janet Whitmire and husband John of Oil City and a brother-in-law Ed Keverline of Cleveland OH. Also surviving are numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Ned and Don, sisters Martha Karns, Shirley Keverline, Kathleen Kapp and a sister-in-law Garnet Kapp.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 20, 2014 in the Faith Lutheran Church, Venus, with Rev. John A. Wood, Pastor officiating.
Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery following the service.
The family suggests memorials be made to Faith Lutheran Church or a charity of ones choice.
