Gary Lee Flockerzi, 72, of Fertigs passed away suddenly on September 13, 2013 at UPMC Northwest.
Born on June 19, 1941 in Oil City, PA he was the son of Russell and Geraldine Sharrar Flockerzi who preceded him in death.
Gary was a 1960 graduate of Cranberry High School.
On November 12 1966 Gary and Sarah Baughman were married by Monsignor Theobald at St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
He was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Gary started his working career at Snyder Brothers Roofing and later he worked Oil Well Supply. Even while working at Oil Well Supply he still did many roofing jobs on the side.
When not out roofing, Gary enjoyed gardening, farming, and wood working. He was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club and could often be found volunteering for Charitable Deeds.
He is survived by his wife Sarah, daughter Susan G.Fox and husband David of Venus and son Kevin L. Flockerzi and companion Ruth Shreffler of Oil City. Grandchildren Steven J. and Nicholas A. Fox of Venus; and Alexsis and CJ Shreffler of Oil City also survive. Gray’s brothers and sisters surviving include: Mary Kay McFadden of Oil City, David Flockerzi and wife Shelia of Oil City, Gerald A. Flockerzi of Venus, Cheryl Ann Delp of Venus, Bruce Flockerzi and wife Sue of Oil City, and a brother-in-law Roger Suter of WV. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jean Suter.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10am in the funeral home with Rev. D.G. Davis III, pastor of St. Michael Church presiding.
