Evan Zupich 28 of Williamsport, formerly of Lickingville, died unexpectedly at work on the morning of July 25, 2012. Cause of death is yet to be determined. Evan is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Tracy (Towner) Zupich, parents Paul and Penny Zupich and grandparents Bernice Zupich and Betty Anderson.
Evan was a 2003 graduate of North Clarion High School. He served his country in the 82ndAirborne; earned the rank of sergeant, and did tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He subsequently earned a construction management degree from Penn College, and was employed as an operations manager at Mountain Supply and Service.
Evan loved life. His upbeat and spontaneous personality made him a delight to be around. He enjoyed working-out, riding his motorcycle, kayaking, hiking, running with his little dogs, frequenting the firing range, and road trips with his wife; Evan enjoyed politics, religion and philosophy, but most of all, he loved his friends. Evan's friends were of the highest caliber; they range from the venerable old man to the young enthusiast. He was considered a brother and son to many. He will be remembered for his positive outlook on life, his genuine interest in everyone he met, and his ability to bring out the best in everyone. Evan will be sorely missed.
Also surviving are in-laws Roy and Jan Towner of Lucinda, sisters-in-law Elisha Pospisil and husband Tim of Sigel; Leah Wiant and husband Josh of Pittsburgh; and Hester Lucas and husband Brian of Bellevue NE. An aunt Bonnie Piorkowski and husband Hank of Erie; an aunt Melody Biggie and husband Rick of Erie; an uncle Bill Zupich and wife Nancy of Clearfield; and cousins Joel, Eric, Michael, Michelle, Tara, Sara, and Katrina. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Evan Zupich and Kenneth Anderson.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4pm on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg, PA. Funeral services will be held 4:30 pm on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg with Pastor. Randy Evans, Clarion-Forest VNA Chaplain officiating.
