Esther L. Cohlhepp Beichner, 76, of Shippenville passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 after a short period of declining health.
Born on August 4, 1936 she was the daughter of Francis W. and Martha Beichner Cohlhepp.
On October 18, 1958 she was married to Francis L Beichner who preceded her in death on May 31, 2012.
She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Esther enjoyed spending time baking and cooking, if the TV was on it had to be on the game show network, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion and the Clarion County Rod and Gun in Knox.
Esther is survived by her five children: Raymond Beichner of Shippenville; Brenda Kline and her husband Kenneth of Shippenville; Luann Dowlan and her husband Erik of Shippenville; Jason Beichner and companion Cindy Merryman of Shippenville; Amy Beichner and companion Mathews Hartzell of Shippenville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Amber, Kayla, Zachary, Megan, Brandon, Jordan, Janelle, Jason, and Zoey. Esthers care giver and special niece Sarah Dowlan of Shippenville, Sister Kathy Niederriter and husband Rick of Venus, Sister Mary Ann Vogelbacher and husband Jerry of Fryburg, Sister Nancy Cohlhepp of Clarion, and brother Ralph Cohlhepp and wife Shirley of Venus also all survive.
Also surviving are a sister-in-law Geraldine Deemer, brother-in-law William Mathews, a sister-in-law Margaret Fair, brother-in-law Thomas Kiehl, brother-in-law James and wife Ginny, brother-in-law Allen and his wife Dolores, brother-in-law Richard and his wife Meda, sister-in-law Rita Kiehl and her husband Dick and sister-in-law Judith McCleary and her husband Terry. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Rodney and Francis Jr., a brother Gerald “Hopper” Cohlhepp, a brother-in-law Fred Deemer, a brother-in-law Leonard Beichner, a sister-in-law Esther Mathews, a brother-in-law Joe Fair, a sister-in-law Elva Kiehl, and a brother-in-law Raymond Cope.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
Mass of a Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Michael Church in Fryburg with Rev. DG Davis III, pastor as celebrant.
Interment in the St. Michael Cemetery will follow the mass.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice in Esther's honor.
