Eileen B. Fletcher, 89, of Fryburg, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her home.
Born on February 8, 1925 in Strobleton, PA she was the daughter of Harry E. and Barbara S. Hartle Eisenman.
Eileen was a graduate of Shippenville High School.
On March 5, 1946 she was married to Paul J. Fletcher who preceded her in death on January 5, 1986.
Eileen was a member of St. Michael Church and Rosary Society in Fryburg.
Eileen worked at Owens Illinois in Clarion, Continental Can in Oil City, she was an Erie Insurance Agent for 36 years, a Notary Public and a book keeper. Later she became co-owner of Fletcher's Garage in Fryburg.
She enjoyed bingo, quilting, gardening, cross word puzzles and bird watching. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially all of her grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her children: Michael Fletcher and wife Rosemary of Derwood MD; Patrick Fletcher and wife Ruth of Denver CO; Michele Spence and her husband Jeffrey of St. Mary's; Paulette Colantonio and her husband John of Fern; Kim Fletcher and his wife Marie of Shippenville and Claire Cunningham and husband Robert of Oil City; and Paul Fletcher Jr. and wife Brenda of Elizabeth CO. Also surviving are twenty-three Grandchildren and nineteen Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grandson Nicholas Fletcher. Eileen was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Choletta Schupp, Gertrude Beers, Eva Kaltenbach, Priscilla Karg, Rosie Eisenman, Mary Schrecengost, Maurice Eisenman, Miles Eisenman, Emma Dugan, Edith Banner, and infant brothers Harry and Leonard.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg. A parish vigil service will be held at 8:30pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg with Rev. David Poulson, Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua in Cambridge Springs, PA as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
