Edith M (Cope) Baughman

Born January 11, 1920 in Shippenville, PA, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna Goughler Cope who preceded her in death.

 

She was married on June 21, 1937 to Bernard W. Baughman who preceded her in death on June 26, 1971.

 

Mrs. Baughman was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. 

 

Mrs. Baughman loved to garden and also enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and spending time in the outdoors. 

 

She is survived by a son Bernard Baughman and wife Beulah of Tionesta, a daughter Sarah Flockerzi and her husband Gary of Oil City, a daughter Lois Barscz and her husband Stan of Oil City, a daughter Ruth Beichner and her husband Dennis of North Carolina, a son Paul Baughman of Fryburg and a daughter Alice Grolemund and husband Andrew of Fryburg. Grandchildren also surviving include: Beth Ann Bradford and husband Brick of Tionesta, Susan Fox and husband David of Venus, Kevin Flockerzi and special friend Ruth Shreffler of Oil City, Darcy Alvord of North Carolina, Rena Davis and her husband Alex of Kansas, Andrea Smith and husband Barry of Fryburg, David Grolemund and special friend Jodi Amato of Limestone, Mark Grolemund and wife Bethann of Clarion. Great-Grandchildren surviving include: Shane and Mark Bradford, Steven and Nicholas Fox, Alexsis and CJ Shreffler, Logan Smith, Justin Siebka.

 

Surviving are 2 sisters Katherine Johnson and husband Cal and Shirley Lawrence. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Walter, Lester, and Lawrence(Bus) Cope. She is preceded in death by sisters Pearl McClure, Dorothy Allio, and Florence Yokim. Grandchildren Kelly Lynn Sliker, Darla Rae Baughman, and Marie Mae Barscz also preceded her in death.

 

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A parish vigil service will be celebrated at 3:45 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in St. Michael Church, Fryburg, with Rev. Chris Hamlett, pastor as the presider. 

 

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. 

 

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Michael Church of Fryburg.
