Dorothy L. (Brand) Fescenmyer

Dorothy L. Fescenmyer, 76, of Marble passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Golden Living Shippenville.

Born on October 30, 1939 in Lucinda she was the daughter of Henry and Mildred Gatesman Brand.

She graduated from St. Joseph School in Lucinda.

On November 24, 1960 she was married to Joseph W. Fescenmyer who survives.

She was a member of St. Michael Church and also the Rosary Society in Fryburg.

Dorothy worked for Tionesta Builders Supply in Shippenville and also Clarion Radio Station. She also worked as a notary for many years.

In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, camping, completing puzzles, reading, Nascar and also playing cards.

Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society and also the Rod and Gun Club in Knox.

She is survived by her husband Joseph and their children: Joseph Fescenmyer and his wife Nancy of Royersford, PA; Joyce Best and husband Tim of Knox; Jim Fescenmyer and fiance Vicki of New Castle; and Janet Krauss and husband Rob of Sligo. Grandchildren Robbie and Stevie Krauss; Jason and Daniel Fescenmyer; a brother Larry Brand of Lucinda and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers: Paul, Joey, George.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, June 13, 2016 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. D. G. Davis III Pastor presiding.  Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

Memorials in Dorothy's honor may be made to Rosary Society of St. Michael Church.
