Dolores C (Hargenrader) Weaver

 

Born December 31, 1930 in Marble, PA, she was the daughter of Frank and Helen Baughman Hargenrader who preceded her in death.

 

Mrs. Weaver graduated from Shippenville High School in 1949.

 

She was married on September 26, 1951 to John Weaver, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 16, 2010.

 

Mrs. Weaver was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. She was a member of the Rosary Society and attended mass daily. She was also an active member of the World Apostolate of Fatima and Eucharistic Adoration.

 

Mrs. Weaver was a 4-H leader for over 25 years helping her children, grand-children and many other children of the Venus area. She was instrumental in organizing the library at St. Michael School. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She attended every event her family members were involved in including track meets, baseball games and school activities. She loved her family and her faith, and taught not through her words but through her actions.

 

She is survived by a daughter Jacqueline Bolents and husband Thomas of Horizon City Texas, a daughter Catherine Longacre and her husband Larry of Fryburg, a son John Weaver Jr. and his wife Melanie of Venus, a daughter Dorinda Burrows and husband Larry of Oil City and a daughter Mary Ann Schleihauf and husband Howard of Mechanicsburg. 11 Grandchildren also survive: Vanessa Rogers and husband Shawn; Teresa Bolents; Carrie Niemetz and husband Jake; JJ Longacre and wife Pam; Casey Longacre; Jennifer Flockerzi and husband Chuck; Bridget Steetle and husband Adam; Maggie Weaver; John W. Weaver III; Samatha Schleihauf; and Nichole Schleihauf. 8 Great-Grandsons also survive: Greg, Nate, Ben and Charles Jr. Flockerzi; Lane Longacre; Alderich Steetle; Drake and Kaleb Niemetz. A sister Mary Helen Ames and husband Charles, a sister Germaine Smith, a sister-in-law Rosie Hargenrader and a sister-in-law Sis Hargenrader also survive.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers: Harold, Ed, Paul and Hank Hargenrader.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A parish vigil service will be celebrated at 8:45 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the funeral home.

 

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, November 4, 2010 in St. Michael Church, Fryburg, with Rev. David Poulson, pastor as the presider. 

 

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
