Denise J. Karg Groce, 71, of Lucinda, passed away suddenly on May 14, 2016.
Born December 26, 1944 she was the daughter of Austin and Sara Moore Karg.
Denise was a graduate of North Clarion High School.
On August 19, 1967 Denise was married to Gary L. Groce who preceded her in death on March 15, 2012.
She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Denise owned and operated a beauty salon in Oil City. After she was married she chose to be a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed interior design, gardening, and spending time with her family and her dog Coco. After her husband was injured in an accident in 1997 she spent the next 15 years caring for him in their home.
Denise is survived by her children: Lynn Galbraith and her husband Dwane of Meadville, Karen (Groce) Henry and her fiance Matt Burr of Sligo, Eric Groce of Brookville and Dale Groce and wife Tina of Pittsburgh. Eleven grandchildren: Kyle Galbraith, Kirsten Groce, Tyler Galbraith, Christopher Henry, Sara Galbraith, Lauren Groce, Amanda Groce, Amy Henry, Alaina Groce, Evan Groce, and Alivia Groce also surive. Siblings surviving include: Cathy Lencer and her husband Henry of Crown, Mary Ann Groner and her husband Ed of Clarion, Delores Lencer and husband Fran of Crown, sister-in-law Shirley Groce of Shippenville, sister-in-law Patty Winger and her husband Jack of Shippenville. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary, and a brother William Karg.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
A Mass of a Christian Burial will held at 10 am on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg with Rev. D.G. Davis III officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the mass.
Memorials in Denise's name may be made to HealthSouth Harmarville Rehabilitation - Brain Injury Program or Clarion Hospital.
