Bruce E. Wilson

Bruce E. Wilson, 60, of Venus, PA, passed away suddenly October 16, 2013.

Born on October 22, 1952 in Oil City, he was the son of James C. and Florence M. Thompson Wilson.

He was a North Clarion High School graduate.

Bruce was married on October 12, 1974 to Marsha J. Himes who survives.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Venus, PA.

Bruce was a self employed truck driver his entire working career and he had a passion for Peterbilts.

Bruce enjoyed all types of motorsports.  He mud bogged drag raced for all of his life.  He recently competed in the super stock and max wedge class.  He enjoyed track and tractor pulls and worked on any Mopar that he could get his hands on.  He raced a 1965 Dodge Coronet and recently completed his 1941 Plymouth Rat Rod.

He is survived by his wife Marsha of Venus, his mother Florence and children Tonya Mooney and husband Brian  and daughter Makenna of Knox and Melanie Ward, husband Cameron and son Peyton of Marble, Stacey Campbell, her husband Bill and children Riley and Mason all of New Bethlehem.  Also surviving are a brother Jeffery L. Wilson and wife Betty of Monroe, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father James in 2011, grandfather James C. Wilson Sr. Feb. 1998.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Friday October 18, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday October 19, 2013 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Randy Evans, Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin as the celebrant. 

Interment will follow in Venus Cemetery.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Clarion Cancer Center.
