Shirley J (Dehner) Weiser

Shirley J. Weiser, 80, of Lickingville, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Clarion Hospital.

Born on January 13, 1939 in Lickingville, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Ethel Anderson Dehner.

Shirley was a homemaker most of her life but also worked for many of the cabins in Cook Forest in her early years.

On June 27, 1964 she was married to Albert Weiser Jr. who preceded her in death in September 1983.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter Alberta (Ron) Maher of Lickingville, three grandchildren: Ronnie Maher, Kelly Maher and her companion Dennis Smith and Dana Maher all of Lickingville. Four great-grandchildren survive: Madison and Kylie Rapp and Raylan and Jordan Smith all of Lickingville. Shirley is also survived by a brother Ben Dehner and his companion Nancy Schiender of Lucinda, a brother-in-law Joe Strickenberger of Fryburg, and a sister-in-law Norma Dehner of Clarion. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, a daughter Connie, a sister grace Strickenberger, and a brother Ken Dehner.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Tionesta, with Dr. Rev. Jonathan Bell Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the Tylersburg Cemetery.
