Raymond Judy Obituary

Raymond A. Judy Jr., 72, of Lucinda, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.


 

Born March 16, 1946 in Brookville, he was the son of the late Raymond “Tony” and Grace Lander Judy.


 

Raymond was married on March 5, 1966 to Charlotte A. "Ann" Lolley Judy at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2016.


 

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was wounded and was awarded the Purple Heart. Military honors will be presented at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in the funeral home.


 

He owned and operated Betts Machine Shop in Rouseville, PA for over 30 years.


 

Raymond was a fan of sprint car racing. He had a love for baseball and cheering his grandchildren on at numerous sporting events, and he enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and close friends.


 

He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and also the Knight of Columbus. He was also a member of the Fryburg Sportsman's Club in Fryburg and the Antler Club in Lucinda.


 

Raymond is survived by 4 daughters: J. Renee Zacherl and her husband, Brian of Fryburg; Toni A. Hargenrader and her husband, Fran of Marble; Paula M. Judy of Lucinda and Leigh Walter and her husband, Roger of Leeper. He is also survived by siblings Marge Schmader and husband Bernie, Carol Siegel and husband Bob, John Judy and wife Carolyn, Chris Neiswonger and husband Arnie, Pete Judy and wife Lynn, a sister-in-law, Bobbie Carbaugh and husband, Don and a sister-in-law Eukie Lolley. In addition, he is survived by 12 grandchildren: Kelsi Zacherl and companion Ryan Weaver, Kyle Zacherl and wife Becca, Kolin Zacherl, Zayn Hargenrader, Zander Hargenrader, Zyler Hargenrader, Zeelan Hargenrader, Owen Walter, Ethan Walter, Anna Walter, Iylee Walter and 1 great-grandson, Mason. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.


 

In addition to his parents, and his wife, he was preceded in death by brother Father Ed Judy.


 

Friends and family may call on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg. Friends and family will also be received on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 9-10am at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.


 

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Clarion Cancer Center, St. Joseph Church or North Clarion Baseball Team.
