M. Kay Eck, 78, of Tionesta, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born on June 7, 1940 in Knox she was the daughter of Russel and Gladys Rossman.
She was a Keystone High School graduate.
On October 15, 1971 she was married to Bernard Eck who survives.
Kay worked at the Knox Glass plant for about ten years until her children were born. She then chose to stay at home to care for them.
She enjoyed play cards, going to the Casino, board games and especially Yahtzee. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband and their children: Shelly Eck of Tionesta and Jeffrey Eck of Tionesta.
Also surviving are sisters Emma Clark and husband Fred of Ohio, Shirley Shettler and husband Bob of Knox and Susan Renniger and husband Norm of Strattenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Fran and Gloria and brothers Charles (Junior) and Vernon.
As per her request there will be no public visitation. The family is being cared for by Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Heart Association.
