Mary K. (Lauer) Beichner, 95, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Shippenville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019.
Born Feb. 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the later Maurice J. and Julia I. Meehan Lauer.
On Oct. 17, 1945, she was married to Leo Beichner, who preceded her in death on May 28, 1993.
Mary was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg and a resident of Shippenville until moving to Brookline, Pittsburgh in 1951. While in Pittsburgh she was a member of the Resurrection Church in Brookline.
She is survived by a son, Leo F. (Audrey) Beichner Jr. and she was a devoted grandmother of Patrick Beichner and Timothy Beichner; she is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; her daughters, Mary Ann Cuda and Kathleen R. Beichner; and brothers Francis Lauer and M. Andrew Lauer.
Family and friends are welcomed at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 2-8 p.m.
There will also be visitation under the direction of the Faller Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. Michael Church, 18765 PA-208, Fryburg, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Czarkowski presiding.
Memorials in Mary's honor may be made to The Monsignor Theobald Fund of St. Michael Church.
