Kimberly S. (Rowe) Vantassel

Kimberly S. Vantassel, 49, of Rimersburg passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 2, 1968 in Clarion she was the daughter of John R. Rowe and Merilene Coston Dufford.

Graduated from West Forest High School. Later she attended the Art Institute of Pittsbugh to study photography, until her illness prevented her continuing.

She was married on July 13, 2000 to Jason Vantassel who survives.

Kimberly worked as a nurses aid and also ran the family home.

She enjoyed cat fishing at Lake Arthur, photography, collecting cookbooks, taking care of her house plants, spending time with her horses, her calf Winkie and her chickens. She and her husband were life members of the Cooking Club of America.

Kimberly is survived by her husband Jason, her son Alexander W. Rowe and his companion Danna Kelly of Rimersburg and their upcoming son Xander J. Rowe. Also surviving are her two daughters Kassie DeLoe and Mindy Sue Adams and her companion Nathan Ruffner all of Rimersburg. Siblings surviving include Kelly W. Rowe of Kalispell, MT; Karla Guthrie and husband Jim of Grayville IL; William “Bill” Rowe of Parker; and Dianna Moll and her husband Mike of Warren. Also surviving is a special friend BoniLou Rowe and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 12 to 2 pm
