Jane Dolores (Groner) Maher

Jane D. Maher, 80, formerly of Marble, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Clarion Hospital.

Born on June 10, 1938 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Hoover Groner.

On October 17, 1958 she was married to Leo A. Maher who preceded her in death on January 15, 2005.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg and the Rosary Society where she served as various officers through out the years.

Jane was a homemaker and also worked at Mister Donut and Kmart.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to crochet, quilt, and was an avid Pirate and Steeler fan.

Jane is survived by her children Ron (Bert) Maher, Dan (Jen) Maher, Linda (Mike) Lawson and Tom (Stacey) Maher. Eight grandchildren Ronnie Maher, Kelly Maher and her companion Dennis Smith, Dana Maher, Crystle Schrecengost, Nicole Schrecengost and companion Mike Haines, Jason Maher and wife Megan, Brad Maher and wife Jess, Mackenzie Maher and companion Janet Broniecki and step-granddaughter Carrie Griebel and husband Andy. Six great-grandchildren Madison, Kylie, Raylan, Jordan, Sophie and Gavin and two step-great-grandchildren Brainna and Landon. Also surviving are brothers and sisters: Rose Troyan, Patricia (Bernard) Gabler, George (Carol) Groner, William Groner, and Mary Helen (Tom) Hollis along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Leo, her brother Joseph and and infant sister Kathleen.

Friends will be received at St. Michael Church in Fryburg on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 9 to 10am. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Joseph Czarkowski, pastor, presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
