Eugene D. Wagner

Eugene D. Wagner, 87, of  the Red Brush community, Tionesta, PA passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 after a period of declining health.

Born on  November 26, 1931 in Tionesta, PA he was the son of  Wayne and Mable Gilmore Wagner.

He graduated from Tionesta High School.  

On July 18, 1959 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fryburg, he was married to Lois Bell Wagner who survives.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Venus.

Eugene was a dairy farmer, and then beef farmer for most of his life. He also served as Tionesta Township Secretary, Forest Fire Warden for Tionesta Township in Forest County, was a member of St. Lukes Luther League and also a member of Lutheran Brotherhood.   He also enjoyed spending time with his loyal golden retriever Mathias and was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Future Farmers of America award which is given annually.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lois, sisters-in-law: Dorothy A. Bell Beichner, Shirley I. Bell, and Erma E. Bell.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lola May Henry, and two brothers-in-law Thomas J. Beichner and James Henry.  

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6-8pm. 

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Venus, with Pastor Deborah Jacobson, interim Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery following the service.
