Domenic Tomeo, 92, of Newmansville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at home with his family and beloved dog by his side.
Born on December 27, 1925 in Ellwood City, PA he was the son of Angelo and Rose Tomeo.
Domenic graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA.
On April 29, 1967 he was married to the former Betsy Sarver Tomeo who preceded him in death on May 15, 1989.
Domenica was a maintenance worker Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls, PA. In his spare time he enjoyed colecting Lionel Trains, playing poker, fishing, hunting, boating, going to swap meets and tinkering with his many projects.
He served from 1950 to 1965 in the United States Army during the Korean War as a heavy equipment operator.
Domenic is survived by his children: Jeffery Tomeo and his wife Tina of Columbus OH; Liza Rose and her husband James of Howard OH; Angelo Tomeo of Columbus OH; and Megan Tomeo of Athens OH.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Gabriel and Cara Tomeo and a brother Angelo Tomeo of Ellwood City PA.
He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Betsy, his brothers Michael and Carmen Tomeo and a sister Mary Santavicca.
Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 11am to 1pm.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg, with Rev. Josh Peck, Pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Venus officiating.
Interment will be in the Amity Lutheran Cemetery in Newmansville following the service.
