Charles A. Fesenmyer, 93, of Venus passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 after period of declining health.
Born on March 8, 1926 in Oil City he was the son of Theodore and Gladys Brunson Fesenmyer..
He was a 1944 graduate of Shippenville High School.
On June 14, 1952 he was married to the former Marian Albaugh Fesenmyer who preceded him in death on December 21, 2015.
He was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.
Charles worked for National Fuel for 35 years and retired from there on May 1, 1984. He also enjoyed wood working and taking care of his property.
Charles was a 4th Degree of the Oil City K of C and was a member for over 50 years. He also was the longest member of the Fryburg Sportsman's Club and held the #1 membership card.
He was a US Army veteran and served as a medical technician aboard the USS Charles A Stafford. During his service he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 20 times.
Charles is survived by a brother Theodore of Oil City, and a sister Mary Gilbert and her husband Randy of Fryburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marian, and his brothers Clyde, Fred, Frank, and Henry and a sister Gladys Smerkar.
Friends will be received at the St. Michael Church in Fryburg on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 9am to 10am.
Mass of a christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, Pastor presiding.
Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
Memorials in Charles's honor may be made to St, Michael Church Roof Fund.
