Barbara Jean (Ochs) Schill

Barbara Jean Schill, 80, of Sonny Lane, Venus PA passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 after a brief illness.

Born on August 14, 1937 in Lucinda, she was the daughter of Martin and Eulalia Wolbert Ochs.

On August 24, 1955 she married the love of her life, Walter J. (Sonny) Schill of Fryburg-Venus area, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1995.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. She had a very active social life and still remained busy catering for the Lions Club of Knox, PA. Some of her passions were playing 500 bid in many different card clubs, sitting around a campfire, going out to enjoy Bluegrass Music and Elvis impersonators, driving her Amish neighbors, and taking afternoon drives with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Robert G. Schill of Florida, Walter E. Schill of Marienville, and one daughter Barbara (Gary) Seitz of Venus. Her siblings surviving include Carl Ochs of Lucinda, Cele Schill of Lucinda, Jerry (Diane) Ochs of Lucinda, Lois Ochs of California, and Nick Ochs of Arizona and a brother-in-law Larry (Chris) Schill. Grandchildren surviving include: Corey (Jamie) Schill and their children Dakota, Paige, Mason, Paris, and Madison; Luke Schill; Sunnie (Jon) Bracken and their children Jordan and Devon; Deanna Gervasoni and her children Camie, Blake, and Cianna and great-great grandson Caden; Steve (Emily) Seitz and their son Colton; Brady (Matthew) Baker,; Chuck (Kate) Seitz and their children Lizzy and Hunter; Patrick Seitz and special friend Nicci; and Bethany Seitz, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to count. She will be sadly missed by all.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, her sister Sally Dechant, sister-in-law Delene Ochs, brother-in-law Richard F. Schill and sister-in-law Sally Ochs

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. 

Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrate at 10 am on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. Joseph Czkarowksi Pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.

Memorials in Jean's honor may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
