Harriett Francisco Obituary

Harriett P. “Pat” Francisco, 99, of Marble passed away on April 1, 2024 at Shippenville Healthcare after a period of declining health.

Born on October 4, 1924 in Clarion County, she was one of John and Chloetilda Hartle Weaver's five daughters.

Pat was married to Eugene Francisco who preceded her in death in 2005.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

Pat loved to visit with friends and family, especially if someone was willing to play Euchre or Rummy.  She enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband before he passed.  She took pleasure in caring for plants and flowers and feeding the birds and any stray cats that found their way to her doorstep.  During baseball season, she would often be found watching the Pirates’ play on television, and she would have been pleased about their strong start to the current season.

She is survived by her sons Gene Francisco, of Tampa, FL and Roger Francisco, of Johnstown, PA, two granddaughters, Gina Francisco of Tampa, FL and April Gatesman of Boulder, CO, and grandson-in-law, Jason Haislmaier, also of Boulder.  Three great-grandchildren, Ashley Shukitis, Grace Haislmaier and Penn Haislmaier, and many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Virginia Smerkar, Jessie Schmader, Eukie Frederic and Delilia Ochs, her husband Eugene, daughter Gayle Gatesman, son-in-law Gerald Gatesman, daughter-in-law Harlene Francisco, and a granddaughter Angel Chloe Gatesman.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. Michael Cemetery in Fryburg, with Rev. Michael Polinek Pastor of St. Michael Church presiding.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass.
